Am I the Right Photographer for you?

Am I the right photographer for you?

Here are some things to think about while searching for the right photographer:

  • What kind of pictures are you wanting done?
  • What is their background with that age group?
  • Do they have a studio? (if you are looking for studio photography)
  • Do you like their pictures/style?
  • What type of safety training do they have?
  • What are their prices?  Do they fit your budget?
  • What is their turnaround time?  If you want photos in 2 days and the photographer’s turnaround time is 2-3 weeks, you probably will become unhappy with them.
  • Do they offer the product you want?

What We do at Pink Toenails Photography:

  • You will also see this in the about me section:  I specialize in Newborn, Maternity, Child, and birth photography.  I also offer family portraits.  I am booked for weddings in 2014 and my husband will be taking over weddings in 2015.  We do limit these to a couple a year, so please book ahead.
  • I have 3 children aging infant,2, and almost 5.  I have worked in multiple daycares as well as in a clinic setting with these age groups, or rather all age groups.
  • I work on location.  I do have have a small studio space for newborns-1 year portraits, but most of my sessions are done outdoors.  In home sessions start at $75 for an hour, and are lifestyle portraits.
  • My turnaround time is 2 weeks; I try to get newborn photos done in 1 week.  If you need something done before that time, you will have to let me know and I will do my best to get it done for you.  If you want extra edited photos, I charge $5 a photo.
  • I do mini sessions for those who like themed sessions at a lower price.  These sessions are 15 minutes and range from $25-$30 twice a year.
  • I always include all the unedited photos as well as the number of edited photos quoted at the time of booking the session.
  • Starting the new year,2014, I will only be offering the digital files through my website.  These files are downloadable and included in the session fee, no extra cost.  CDs can be purchased for $10 extra and picked up at my place of residence when ready.  You will need a laptop or PC in order to download the digital files.
  • Products can be ordered directly from my website through the vendor and mailed directly to your house.  If you choose to have me create a product for you in photoshop, it must be picked up at my place of residence in Eau Claire.  If you are driving from an hour or more away, I will have these shipped to your house directly from the vendor.

Some things about me, Traci:

  • Over the last year I have taken a lot of pictures and have decided to specialize in newborn and child photography.
  • If you are looking for someone who dresses “neat”, that is not me.  My nails are short and clean, my hair is washed and messy, and I like to wear yoga pants and t-shirts…and no shoes outdoors in the summer.  I get mud, water, and many other outside elements all over myself and clothing so there is really no use in dressing “neat”.  Makes for more fun and better pictures!
  • I Have my BLS for healthcare workers.  (CPR & AED) In my opinion, everyone working and touching people should have taken a CPR class.
  • I have taken online newborn safety classes as well as hands on safety and posing classes.  I hope to continue to grow with this photography.
  • My background:
    • I grew up in Eau Claire, WI and graduated from the Catholic School System.
    • I became certified to run my own in home daycare, but instead took a job working with developmentally and cognitively disabled adults…Loved this job!
    • After I had my daughter, I went back to school to become a medical assistant.
    • Shortly after I graduated, I picked up a job at Sears Portrait Studio.
    • After I had my second child I was hired as a certified medical assistant, this is my current job.
    • I started my own photography business in the Spring of 2012.
  • My family comes first, so if I have to reschedule a session due to an emergency or sickness I apologize.
